i need s4 high beam help!!

So I got a set of s4 Bi-xenon housings off ebay. Most of the install went smoothly, though I did have to do some modification to the rear door where the balast mounts.

The problem is, that my existing highbeam bulbs from my oem xenon do not fit into the s4 housing! I know that they are not bulb type H7. what else could they be? I am sifting through all the threads I can find, but so far, no dice...

Help please!

high beam bulb type only (it is not H7) everything else works great!

aha!!! I think I found what I need in a For Sale thread...

the US spec B6 S4 uses H10 bulbs in the high beam.

Can someone confirm this?

Yes, H10 for DOT spec Bi-Xenons, H7 for ECodes.

my local kragen doesn't h10's.... hmmmmmm.

wow, no one carries H10's!! so far I have tried:

Kragen
Napa
PepBoys
Auto Zone
Audi Dealer
VW Dealer
and 2 german auto specialty shops!

why are these things so hard to find?!? anyone know of a bay area source for these or do I jsut have to order them?

Some Chryslers use H10 bulbs for the foglights, call a local Dodge/Chrysler dealership.

yeah, that is my next phone call. ford's use 'em too but so far none of the dealerships in the area stock them. (i've managed to find one bulb) onto chrysler and gm, as they both use them in fogs i guess. what a pain!

yeah, ordering them online. I was hoping to just be able to pick one up today instead of waiting a week for shipping. oh well.

the moral of the story: NEVER need an H10 bulb.
