Who's going to the Drift event this Sunday?

Eugene and Jen, Mike M and Faze, Ed, Chard and his friend Jason, and couple more i forgot who else registered, but not a lot...

you guys can caravan and meet me at marine world so we can head down together, but i wanna be at the track by 11am, gates open at 12noon.

Did you find out if my 8 year old needs his own ticket to get into this event?

Let me know where to meet. My buddy is bringing his Corolla for you to check out.

Yes Andre, i think i sent you email and i posted it on that other thread too... Kids 12yo and under are free...

and yes i got those pix, nice car i wanna see it up close and personal

... there will be a lot of AE86 that'll show up there too.

well as for the caravan guys, if you don't mind driving with me early (coz i need to meet with the guys to pick up your tickets), then we can meet up at carl's jr. in front of marine world. we can leave by 11am we should be there by 1115 then roll-in is at 12noon.

carl's jr. is right in front of marine world entrance on fairgrounds drive, next to holiday inn.

Hey Ken, how early are you going to be there? Should be pretty close to you this time

i wanna be there early to pick up your tickets, before those JDM cars start to roll in, that way we can chill and not rush... there will be lots of fun and maybe some "entertainment" ... Curtis, don't forget the camera(s) and extra battery! i might have 3 PRESS passes too

MAX's fried chicken GTG in vallejo after the event, anyone??

BTW for those who haven't registered yet and wanted to go, please do so today to get the cheap tickets, i will be submitting my list tomorrow, that means you will have to walk in on sunday to register for $5 more, well $5 might not be a problem but they might be sold out!

Dusty, 1 car registration for car show is $35 comes with 2 spectator passes, you can register Steph's Bug then maybe buy a pass for brian at the gate, i think it's $25 per person at the gate (yeah i know that's why people join the carshow, for cheap tix), i can give you flyer for $2 off the general admission.

saturday is practice time for the drift kids which is only open to the media. apparently there is a kart race going on at the same time at the kart track though, so i'm not sure how access will be handled.

hmmm, sounds cool. I'll prolly see ya there around the track on Saturday then. The video is a little over 3gigs with full soundtrack and titles, so it's a bitch to host or stream. I did have a nice private screening at the Wooplex (my 60" widescreen) over the 4th and Ken, Dawn and Ted got to see the premiere. I'll try to remember to bring you a copy on Saturday.

What're you doing there on Sat? Racing karts or drifting the 337 backwards?

you mean spectator pass? or carshow registration?

spectator pass online from formulad is $20 presale and $25 at the gate per person... there are flyers around for $2 off ( i have some, see me)

but if you wanna join the carshow, online is $40 for a car entry and 2-person pass and same $40 at the gate, depends if not sold out... if you go through me it's $35.... let me know ASAP i am closing registration tomorrow evening, as i have to submit names to them for ticket allocation.

MAJOR UPDATE FOR FORMULA D!! just in....

i just got a call from the organizers.... all carshow participants will have to show up by 8am for roll-in.... the event does not start til 12noon, but they want everyone to be in place by 10am. sorry for the changes, i will send final emails.

gates will be opened to the public at 12noon.
