Are there any other options for an Audio in with a 98 A4 concert headunit?

I have the changer adapter from P.I.E.
Is the Bipes adapter the one that some guy makes out of his house?

It doesn't work with 8-disc units or random search though?

Not sure what you mean. It plugs inline of the CD changer and the headunit, so any changer that is a direct plugin with the headunit should also be compatible with this adapter.

As for random search, are you asking whether you can use the CDs random search feature with this adapter? I'm not sure but I'd assume so.
