Cold air intake or a diverter valve. I have around 200 dollars and i'm deciding whether to buy a DV or a CAI. So i just want to know your opinions.

diverter valve if your chipped, its better to keep the boost from leaking.

    get both.

make your own intake and heatshield the hell out of it.

then, buy the Audi TT div valve from ecstuning.com for like 28 dollars.

    problem solved :)

CAIs are a waste of $ on our cars because the stock one is actually pretty good and has the best heat shielding. BPV/DV is the best thing you can get for $200 esp if you are chipped. You can get a metal one for around that price or less, or you can get a 710N, which only costs $30 from the dealer. This si the same one from the TT that Darkstar mentioned above. The 710N is perfect for chipped cars 1.2 bar or less.

If you are not chipped don't get either. Save up another $300 for the chip.

Yes, have some sort of an intake (cone filter) u can hear a deeper Psssh sound, but not as loud. Works with 710N and Bailey DV30 valve. I also tried the forge 007, but somehow i didnt get any sound out of that.

I have a Bailey and an ITG filter and it does have a distinct sound to it.
