Do 1.8T CVT Avants exists in the US of A?

I noticed you can build a 1.8T CVT Avant on the audi canada site, but not on the US one. By the same token we can get a 3.0 CVT fronttrak sedan, but not in Canada. Why the discrepency? Purely marketing?

marketing...in europe you can get the avants in every format known to man...quattro is a big marketing thing over here so the avants only come in quattro...i think the 99's could be had for FWD but after that they made it only available in quattro
