I definetly don't think its all it is cracked up to be. My friend who is the lot boy on a bmw dealer brought one by just now and i got to drive it out on the high way. It was SMG, which was a minus. If it was stick, which i'm used to i would have gotten a better feel for it. Anyway, right away i felt a huge lack of torque. I didn't get pinned to my seat or anything and the car was on sport with the smg shift points set to the max without the DSC on. i was pounding on it pretty hard too, shifting at redline and flooring it the whole time. I'd go with a s4 over it i think and with the extra money and just upgrade the turbos.

The M3 is a peaky motor for sure. However, i think it edges out the s4 when it comes to handling. I am starting to place more of a premium on handling vs. straight line speed.

i didn't get too good of a feeling for the handling since i only took it on the highway. Although when i went for a unturn without traction control i got the back way out. Rear-wheel drive is definitely a plus interms of fun factor.
