(UPDATE)So I met up with an '04 M3 coupe last night... Video Now!!!!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    http://66.77.57.189/m3killa/dlsj5.wmv

I threw a quarter tank of 100 octane in, ran the timing a bit higher,(although not all the way up on the sps3) boost was unchanged. The M3 was an 04 SMG with one passanger. I as well had Drew (DLSJ5) as a passanger filming everything. We did three runs, all on videotape, all three guess what? I pulled on him! 1st and 2nd gears were pretty much dead even. As soon as I would shift into 3rd, I would slowly walk away. Color me impressed! Had I more time to do some logging and crank the boost and timing a bit more, it would have pulled even harder. T28 is definitely a great turbo for our cars. I can't imagine what a gt28rs would do.

The m3 owner was shocked, to say the least. He was a good sport though, one of Drew's old buddies. Drew is taking the video back to LA and going to edit, then post it. Should be a few days. Many thanks once again to David@Ecode, Drew for arranging everything, and to REVO for making killer software for our cars. Can't say enough great things about my Big turbo experience so far. Sorry if I left anything out. I'm still a bit hazy from going out last night. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

well the software is actually made for different turbos. Derrick has an e05 file that uses tt injectors, I have a big turbo file, that uses 440cc injectors.

Congratulations man you car is officially an M3KILLA.

Weak sauce software tuners out there said 1.5Bar of boost couldn't be done on a DBW system it’s impossible they said. They also said the B6 return less fuel system sucks you can’t do anything with it. Revo has officially opened our eyes to the truth that if you know what you are doing it’s not impossible if you don’t you’ll blame everything including your own mom as to why your software isn’t cutting it.

If you can't build it they won't come. ;)

Normally I would never post anything like this but being a B6 owner myself and having software tuners look me straight in the eyes and lie as to why heir software would not work on our cars and how it was impossible to get around it unless you do a new fuel system and got rid of the DBW, made me do it.

So essentially, does Dave @ Ecode make his own files and then you upload them to your ECU via the REVO dealer chip re-flashing connection and then fine-tune with your SPS3?

Or, are the files generic files created by REVO for distribution through dealers like Ecode.

It looks like Mr. Ecode himself has also joined this forum, so maybe he can clarify for me as well.

    Thanks in advance.

The files that we have were tuned by Revo for specific injectors, MAF and Turbo for EuroCode Tuning per our request and needs. EuroCode Tuning will be the only Revo dealer offering this software and yes you can use the SPS3 to help fine tune the program to your specific boost and timing needs.

Yes, I Hardly ever post because I just like to sit back and watch and laugh at how weak sauce tuners just bash and hate on Revo because that’s all they can do. My theory is let the software and the dyno do all the talking as the rest is cheap.

I am kicking myself! But I sold the kit before I met David @ EuroCode so I didn't know it was possible to tune. This is the MAIN reason I back David and not GIAC. GIAC gave up trying to tune it where David and REVO didn't and it wasn't even their kit! This is why REVO and EuroCode get so much love and GIAC gets so much hate. GIAC is getting too big for their own britches and they are losing customers as well as respect in the tuning industry. If I had met David before I wouldn't have sold that kit. But David and I are going to continue work on the E05 and I guarantee I will soon have video of my car out running M3's.

    Silence,
Congratulation on Killing M3, It feels almost like I did it my self.
Love to hear stories like this. The easiest thing to do is go and buy an S4 or M3 but the trick is to make little 1.8t outperform these two.

    Dave,
Please fix my SK04, I beg you.

I don't know if it costs Eurocode additional money to get custom files from REVO, but if you can get files for the K04 turbo or SK04 turbo too, then you would have the market covered as far as software tuning is concerned. At this point in time, I'm not sure what I really want to do.

If I can retain the stock K03 turbo and get sizeable gains in power, like some people have on Revo software, then that would be best.

If Dave or anyone can perhaps estimate what differences power-wise to expect from dropping a little more cash and upgrading a turbo to either the K04 platform or an E05 (or maybe even a T28), then it would be easier to justify spending the money.

One more question, as far as installation goes, is it much more different installing a T28 turbo vs. E05 vs. SK04/K04?

    Thanks again Dave for posting.

I emailed david and was told that he would not just sell the software... so people wanting to do there own GT28RS kit are out of luck.. I was also told the car has to be converted to a return line fuel system....

so if you want an RS kit youll have to wait for APR... which is two weeks

The K04 and E05 are the easiest to install as they retain most of the stock hardware including the exhaust manifold. The SK04 is similar but you get a new manifold so it is just a little more difficult. The T28 is the most difficult as it incorporate a lot more new hardware. David has tunes for the K04, SK04, E05, and T28 so he does have the field covered.

The K03 will not perform as well as the others. It is just physically more limited then the others. The order to make power (this is counting on Neuspeed’s claims, no dyno proof) K03 -> K04 -> E05 -> SK04 -> T28. I believe the SK04 and E05 will make the same or very similar numbers.

I didn't know Ecode had tuning for SK04? There you go Zemun. Do it up!

Hey maybe EuroTuner can do a comparo not of various cars or a tuner shootout but just the various upgrades using Ecode's Revo software. K03, K04, E05, SK04, GT28RS. Do the dyno thing, test course, 1/4 mile. All using 1.8T B6's. They can rank em according to cost, performance, ease of install, etc. Any case Ecode wins out!

I know that's way out there.

I think I fixed the issue. I replaced the spark plugs with the NGKs I use and now the coil pack seems to be okay. It has only been two days though, so I am not sure the problem is solved. I'll give you a call tomorrow. By the way, Terry was not at work on Friday and he is out this week. I think it would be best if we fabbed something up our selves. That is all he is going to do anyway and it's not like he is good at it!

No question ask, this tell us how Revo can be operated so good and other chips can hardly compare when it comes down to customs tunning. I'm a Revo user with big injectors program and those neuspeed and MTM chip can hardly give me a lesson on the road.

I have yet to see any other tuners bash Revo actually. So I'm not sure what you're referring to. I might have missed something as I haven't seen all the threads, so if there was one, could you link me?

What I'd like to know is what does Revo do differently than other tuners to be successful in their tuning? I think that a lot of tuners will be coming out with turbo kit software soon, but what interests me is the methodology of Revo's Stage 1 chip tuning.

How does Revo get those numbers without running the injectors 100% duty cycle?

I'd just like to know as I'm one of those people who want to know how things work before I put it on my car.
