    Modifying the switchblade key

Anyone taken apart the switchblade key before? Is there anyway to modify the key so one does not have to depress the button in order to close the key? The Mercedes ML series and the current SLK has a similar switchblade key, but its much simpler to close because there is no button to depress and unlock...it's essentially spring loaded in both the open and close position. Just a thought for those extremely lazy

id like a way to modify it so that there is more "reception"

i feel like i have to be RIGHT NEXT TO THE CAR before it receives the signal from the key fob. maybe my batteries are low... but my car is only a few months old... so i dont think it should be that...

    hmmmm...

Yeah, mine works fine too. Like always, put it up to the base of your chin to get the best reception.

I've opened mine up, but don't see why its worth hacking in order to get it to stay open or closed without the button.

Check your batteries if you reception is that crap, but the chin comment will work.

I think you can move the antenna for better reception, check AW tech articles.
