    MTM Dealer List

I just went to the Joe Hoppen Motorsports web site and I'll have to say that it is pathetic. Broken links, little content.

Do any of you guys know where I can find a list of authorized MTM dealers? I think that for the money, they MTM exhaust would be best for Ultrasport owners. I think it lists around 1800 dollars, but I'm sure you can work dealers down to at least $1500 because I have seen that price advertised on a few places on the Net. I'm sure no dealer stocks a lot of these and the ones that do probably want to move their inventory.

In comparison, a Milltek will run $1000 and you still may have to spend additional money to make sure the hangers fit properly (from what I have read on various places on the Net).

A4NCAR did a great write-up on AW and I'm almost sold on this thing.

I'm thining REVO + SPS3 + Ecode Test Pipe + European OEM SMIC + MTM Exhaust , should produce enough horsepower to get the car moving a little quicker without being too loud and too noticeable.

Well the only dealer I know around here is Griffin Motorwerke in Berkeley, CA. I've had them do work on my car in teh past, and they're okay. Terry is a knowledgeable guy, but difficult to work with sometimes.

Even though I've been a repeat customer for them (they tuned my MTM chipped/suspended B5 S4), he wasn't willing to budge on the price, something I found a little ridiculous given the fact that the price is so high.
    Currently:
    2018 GT3 Touring - Graphite Blue Metallic
2016 McLaren 675LT - Mexico Blue with Roof Scoop
2019 BMW M4 Convertible - Yas Marina Blue Competition Package

    Will be missed: 2001.5 Audi S4, 2004 Audi A4, 2004 Audi A8, 2008 Audi RS4, 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4, 2018 Porsche GT3.2, Mercedes C63 Black Series, McLaren 12C Spyder

I do love my MTM exhaust Glad you appreciated my write up too (I should be sponsored/payed for all the promotional word of mouth I have given it, and new customers). And I agree with you; Hoppen definitely doesn't spend much time on their website content.

As far as dealers go, I've been through all of them and I'd highly recommend contacting Michael at Ikon Motorsport. He is very good with customer service and I'm sure he'll try to get you a good price. I'd avoid Avalon , Anderson, Griffin. Just deal with Ikon. He'll have it drop shipped from Hoppen.

List is $1870. It is a lot, but after what I experienced with two other reputable exhaust brands, and all the issues, I'd happily pay double. As to getting a dealer down to $1500 - it's not going to happen. Not for a new one at least. Even the demo/dispaly unit I first got from Avalon was $1695 (and that arrived damaged, poorly packaged,..etc). Are you sure the pricing you're seeing is for the A4 B6 exhaust? Also, no dealers stock them. They are shipped direct from Hoppen in most cases and Hoppen places orders every so often from MTM in Germany. They can get them within 10 days usually.

With regards to your set up; it sounds great. The MTM exhaust will be one of the best in terms of flow/performance, fitment, build quality and tolerable noise/sound (especially inside). It may not be the typical outside sound associated with aftermarket exhaust systems, but I think it's a welcome change from the annoying drone that many produce. It still has the performance though! The only problem with your set up is that the MTM exhaust doesn't have a down pipe (which you would need with the Eurocode test pipe). MTM does make one, but it's a custom DP/CAT (which replaces both DP and CAT). They designed a full 70mm, one-piece DP/CAT, with a 100 cpsi HF CAT matrix, placed at the lower end of the DP to increase flow after the turbo. This will be a superb Turboback exhaust system, that still retains the CAT. It should not produce any CEL and pass even CA smog test. Mines on it's way soon. Jet Jockey has his now (you can search on AW). I have wanted this since I got my MTM exhaust last year, when Hoppen mentioned it was in the works. Only downside to it; the price as usual. $1800.
