heh....but I want to change them out soon......

Should I invest in an impact wrench?
would decent 200-300ft\lb torque be enough for brakes, control arms, suspension....etc..?

Be creative, use two wrenches together to turn them, or just get something longer, like a pipe, and just torque that shizzle ;)
i like my black girls clean and my white girls dirty.
doesn't matter either way they're all out to hurt me.

i used an impact to take those bolts off. the only part where i had trouble was the rotor not being able to come off (rusted metal together). it was stuck on the car, so i had to get a rubber mallet and hammer those suckers out. other than that, you should have been fine.

P.s- invest in an impact they make a difference

Yea you can never go wrong with an impact wrench, but you don't necessarily need one.

Pukt a breaking bar on it. I did, and it was cake.

When all else fails, get a bigger hammer...

Just need leverage, have to be creative to get it off. Otherwise an impact wrench will work.

Did you have trouble loosening the bolts or just pulling them out of the caliper guides?

If they are hard to loosen, they might have been to tight to begin with. THe factory torque spec is quite low on those bolts. I would be very careful when using an impact gun on a soft metal bolt like that. They aren't very hard bolts so, one false angle with the gun will chew them up really nice.

Here's what I do for stuck bolts in odd spots:

Get a wrench that you don't care about that fits the bolt. Use a plain old claw hammer (a brass hammer works even better) to strike the body of the wrench. Be patient it will pop loose. Keep the wrench fully seated between each blow of the hammer to keep the head from stripping. I have an old socket wrench that is weak and I use it just for this purpose. Once it dies, I'll take it back to Sears for a new one....
