Unhappy So car had CEL on all week, finally had time to take it in ..

Had my CEL on all week, took it into Jose to fond out the codes this morning.

Looks like I need a new throttle body (something on it isnt working right and its probably what's causing my stalling) and air/fuel meter or controller (forgot which he said, but its not reading right on the VAG). Though he said it might be under "emissions warranty" to get both fixed?
Also need a new DV which I knew about a couple weeks ago.

Car has 686XX on the clock. Why is this normal for an Audi to fail on? Pissing me off, just got the car early April and I have to drop more $ into it. I guess thats what I get for buying a German car huh?

So my question is if this stuff isnt under warranty what am I looking at $$ wise for replacing?

throttle body was close to $300 plus labor iirc. I was under warranty, so it was covered. I could be wrong, since this is all from an invoice I didn't get a copy of (my invoice says (N/C). Mine gave out at 59k miles, so it's not out of the ordinary.

Di he say it was also the MAF?

Nah didnt mention anything about the MAF.

Did you have an extended warranty on your car? or was it covered under whatever the normal warranty is?

Cuz I couldnt find anything on AoA's web site about an emission warranty.

    This blows.

I bought the car used certified from the dealership, so it is extended to 100k.

DV takes like 30 mins the first time, taking it super slow, including jacking the car up and shit.

After that you'll be like wow, 10 mins to do that. :)

Throttle body; is there anything aftermarket for that? Always try to go aftermarket when you break something. :)
i like my black girls clean and my white girls dirty.
doesn't matter either way they're all out to hurt me.

I dont understand how a TB can go bad. My girlfriend's 97 had a stalling problem and the idle would dip/fluxuate at idle. I took of the TBcleaned out the carbon residue with WD and a brillo pad. I also pulled out the sensor behind it and wiped all residue off of it. Problem solved and it only cost me 1/2 hour of my time, not 300 that the dealership wanted.

Thanks for the input guys. Yeah I dont plan on getting a brand new TB if thats what it comes down to. Jose can get me a used one Im sure w/ no problems. I will probably try a cleaning of it first thought before replacing it and see if that helps.
Though its the actuators (sp) in the TB thats causing the problems and Jose said thats not something that can be cleaned.
And it is my MAF thats seems to be going also. He said Air/Flow meter and it didnt register with me right away that it was the MAF. So now to call AoA to see if Im covered.
