time to paint

my brake calipers, lol. now i need a little poll opinion time. Radiant Silver (to match car), Red, or Black? what do you think...? should i paint all 4 or just the front 2? thx

if they're stock brakes, go silver like i'm gonna, if it's a big brake kit, go red. red draws too much attention to our tinya$$ calipers IMO

yea im feeling ya, im feeling silver too man. i dont want to be like WOW! and stand out when i dont have a Big Brake Upgrade.

Go black. They'll never look dirty. Silver will show all the grime after awhile.

Whatever you do, make sure you do all four.

Unless you take your wheels off, it's hard to keep calipers clean. On my last car I had red, and they got crappy looking very quickly. Audis are notorious for the bad break dust. It cakes on and does not easily wash off.

u sure all 4? ive seen 1.8Titorey's and he has just the front done red, which looks quite good. i guess im gonna look around some more.

I've had my fronts done red for the past 2 years (not rears) ... They looked ok til this summer when they started peeling. So I stripped them this week and now I need to figure out what to paint them again - especially since I am replacing the stock 15" ers with 18" wheels...

i think red would accentuate a tiny caliper under large wheels and make them look even smaller - so maybe black... but I still can't get red out of my head...

I painted all four of mine w/ Red engine paint. I honestly don't care if it makes my calipers 'look' small. Most people that see them, like them. No one comments that the calipers are 'small'. However, I do have ATE powerdiscs on the front and they always comment on the rotors. No one offered powerslots for the rear - not sure if they do now or not.

W/ my CHs, you don't see too much of the rotor and caliper anyway. It brings a little color to the wheel. I like it.

I don't think they are that hard to keep clean either. I spray mine w/ simple green and reach through the spokes to wash them. Not bad at all. Heck, I reach through the spokes to clean the inside of the wheel, so why not clean the caliper that way too.
