price of an A4

hey guys, i just wanted to know how much i can sell my car for.

i have a 1996 a4 with a 2.8 12v engine. it has 98K on it. it has factory 16 inch chrome rims on them. it has an indash tv/dvd. it is fully loaded with leather, sports package along with the winter package. and it has the pearl/beige cream color.

any ideas on how much it would go or how much you would pay for it because i want to sell it and get a new one.

I would recommend you check www.edmunds.com and also look on www.autotrader.com to see what they say, since they're looking at the actual market, rather than opinion.

Are you going for a 1.8T?

There was a car with almost identicle specs running in my local Wheel Deals, it was going for $10,900. And it sold for just under 10K. I couldn't beleive it. Then another A4, with similar specs sold for around 9K the next week. The market up here for an A4 is definantly a sellers market. Mines got 114K, and will probly have 116K when i want to sell it in the next month or two, and im going to put it in at 8K and see what happens.

As far as the suggested selling price, places like www.kbb.com sometimes give trade in value, and private party sale value. Check that out...

Yeah , I bought the car outright like 2 years ago for 12.5 , so I lost 5 grand on it but oh well , I'm assuming that I drove that much of it. Im curious to see what I will get when i trade in my 01 , I am thinking of upgrading to a B6/C5, or jumping boats over to BMW ...still not shure though.

Yeah, everytime I see a 3 series go by with just a drop and rims, it makes me want one soooooooo bad. But then I think, quattro is the sweetest. So then I thought, alright.....how bout a 330xi? Haha, BMW's are sic. Thats for sure.

Yeah that is crazy what a4's are going for audispeed96, you should probably sell you in dash tv seperate, would get more money for it!

My buddy has a 325xi and took a corner fast on a sunny day and ended up spinning out into a median, killing the front driver side of his car, so much for DSC lol

96 with 98 k.... private sale you can probably get about 7k for, but do yourself a financial favor and take out the indash tv and sell it seperatly, youll get a good penny for that. let me know how much if u do decide to sell it maybe we can work something out. when u privatly sell a car, someone wont realllllllly care its in there so much, they will still try n talk u down
