Thinking of Getting some Co's...

I was thinking of getting the STaSIS Street Sport suspension.

Would it be Better that a sping shock combo??
My other option was eibach, h&r or neuspeed springs whith bilstein shocks.
But i want to know whith which one of all those springs i will have the stiffer ride.

What is the spring Rate??

Any opinions??

Saturnine has it on his car. I rode with him and thought it was REALLY nice. Its like stock sport, but just a tiny bit stiffer. If I remember correctly, the spring rates are around 450...

You have to take into account that the springs are progressive, thus the rate is different at the beginning of compression and at the end of compression.

His kit rocks and now he can dial the height exactly as he wants it!

I have those and I'm very happy with mine. Fully height and rebound adjustable, plus under a grand....

Firmness-wise, is it much better than the sport suspension that comes with the car?

its really not about being stiffer.

The Stasis kit is perfectly matched to give you a ride thats a little stiffer than stock sport, but without the harsness or bounciness. Harshness is sort of sudden jarring with bumps. As if the shock is either dampening too hard for the spring rate.

Stasis sets up the coilovers to be a great firm ride from the box. The other thing about coilovers is that you set your ride height perfectly. No regrets afterwards when you think the front is too high or teh rear is too high. Its perfect what you would want it at. If you know how to adjust them yourself, than its even better.

Guys, the Street Sport Kit will not be super stiff. It will give you a more compliant and sharper handling feel compared to stock. The Bilstein/H&R combo would be our second choice sice it is not a matched setup like the Stasis'. if you are looking for stiffness, go with the Track Sport suspension where you can select spring weights from 550 lbs to 1100 lbs. We would be happy to offer any of you suggestions as to what to run on the car if you call us with more specific information about your requirements.

I just called Stasis and ordered them.. They're located an hour or so away, so i figured i'd eliminate the "middle" man and just go right to the source..

correct. it's not available for B6 yet. Rumors have it they're going with another maker (not koni) for the new TrackSports.

Should i go whith eibach, neuspeed or H&R for a stiffer ride?
i wanted H&R race but is not avaliable for b6.
and maybe instead of theEibach pro kit i should go whith the sportline, that is lower than the pro kit, but i don't know if it is stiffer.

You can get HR race for the B6.. Hyper has them and so do a few others

if you're lookin for STASIS COs i know jeff moss over at torque factory has a few in stock and is trying to get rid of them...


and im pretty sure hyper has neuspeed race...

iirc H&R only makes ONE TYPE of spring for the B6s. neuspeed has the SPORT and the RACE version but H&R only has one type of spring...

STaSIS "Street Sport" / Koni CO = Same Thing.

IMO, CO's are always the better choice to an "off the shelf" spring/shock combo. With height adjustibility, you get exactly the look you want (plus some damper adjustment with some; Koni, KW V2/V3,..). Spring/shock combos are also not R&D as a pair, so there's no telling how they will interact in terms of ride quality and height; that's why you see/feel the differences between them on the same app. There are only a couple set ups I know of that are; H&R's Cup Kit and Sportec's Lowering Suspension Kit.

I have H&R CO's and I'm quite happy with them. There a bit firmer riding then ABT or Oettinger CO's, but they give me the handling, control I want. Not sure how they compare to the STaSIS/Koni CO's though. Regardless, the CO set up will be noticeably firmer then OEM, and for the most part, firmer then a spring/shock combo (depending on damper and spring type/rate).

At $995 for the STaSIS/Koni CO's, that's hard to pass up for a spring/shock combo priced not much lower. Just buy them direct.

In regards to the STaSIS Street Sport kit, STaSIS puts the dampers on their shock dyno, matches the set, sets the damping for optimum ride/handling, and also set the spring perch heights.

So yes, it is the same basic "hard parts" as the off-the-shelf Koni c/o kit, but the STaSIS kit is different in that it is pre-modified and set up by STaSIS before shipment.

I would agree with you that coilovers are worth the extra cost(if any over conventional dampers/springs in this case) for the height adjustability...as well as the rebound damping adjustment.

For this special price of $895 for the STaSIS Street Sport coilovers, you can't beat it!!

Yes, the STaSIS Street Sport kit re-use the factory bump stops. We recommend trimming them by 1-2 inches for the lowered ride heights.

The Eibach/Bilstein setup won't be a true coilover which means no ride height adjustability. As well, no rebound adjustment either.
