This is a cool thread, I'm 22 in college so my list isn't terribly long but I do have pics!
1) 2000 MKIV Volkswagen Golf GLS, 5-speed with the 2.slow engine.
Still Own
First car given to me by my dad, who bought it new. Still remains one of the most fun cars I have driven, you can drive the wheels off it and have a riot without actually going fast. Rode in it to preschool and drove it to college, I'll never sell it!
2) 1999.5 B5 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro, 5-speed w/sport package (AKA Adéline the Audi)
First car I bought with my own money. $900 the timing belt snapped, the seats were ripped, the bumpers were smashed. I fixed everything myself (minus paint) and learned a ton in the process. Also added some nice RS6 wheels. Unfortunately the car became more of an ongoing project than a daily driver (I bought it to take the Golf off the road and work on it) so I eventually had to let it go, what a fun car though! Also felt cool to own what was, for me, "THE Audi" when I was a little kid and starting to learn about cars.
3) 2007 E60 BMW 530xi 6MT w/sport package (AKA Effy the E60)
Got this car for an absolute steal from the original owner who was a former NFL player and absolutely babied the car. Had a full stack of service records since new and the rare 6-speed manual gearbox. The E60 had been a dream car of mine since I was in elementary school, they have such a presence on the road, and the driving experience exceeded my expectations. I was head over heels for the darn thing and I still miss it. Sadly it was totaled in an accident, but miraculously It kept me unharmed and for that I'm thankful. She lived a long life though, 180k miles...she had a lot more in her though...
4) 2013 B8.5 Audi A4 2.0T Premium Plus Quattro 6MT w/sport package (AKA Emmaline the Audi)
Current Daily Driver
The BMW spoiled me, I needed something lower mileage and as newer manual 5 series are virtually non-existent and I'm not a huge fan of the F30 3 series, I decided to come back to the four rings. No way I could afford to walk into a dealership and scoop up a B8 though, so I bought one that was totaled and rebuilt it myself in my garage. Makes up for the death of the BMW I suppose haha. This has now become the most modified car I have ever owned and between the rebuild and the mods I'm quite proud of it. It's the car I dreamt of owning back when I had the B5 so it feels a little surreal to have it now.
