Just curious are there any advantages in putting 100octane into our cars?

just make sure you have the right programming !!! Otherwise, you are running rich and could damage catalytic converter as I was told.

Naw.. running higher octane gas wont make your car run richer.. The programming is need to take full advantage of the higher octane, but its not needed..

I could feel a difference between 91 vs. 100oct on my old car.. I didnt swap chips or anything..

I just run 93 octane all the time. Sometimes, when I feel like it, I'll go 94 octane . . . and perhaps a gallon of toluene to raise it to 95 . . .

    go East Coast!!!

Running rich is not big deat, but running lean is major problem.
    I get 20WHP more on 100 octane.

Mostly the "profit" advantage to the station But seriously, there is definitely more power when using 100 octane. But w/o a chip specifically programmed to take advantage of it, it's not worth it (unless you're doing a track day). Plus, it's expensive. Just run 91 octane for stock and with some chips. But use a higher octane with chip if possible; like 92/93 octane.

IMO, its not worth it unless you are running 100 octane specific programing for it. At $5.00 a gallon last I checked, and that was before gas started to go up,, it just does not yeild signifigant enough gains to throw out the cash.
