Had the setup sitting on a tripod in Philly, at the "Rocky steps" doing a night exposure. Wind picks up and smack, there it goes. Totally fux0red, everything inside is broken. Luckily the camera body still works perfect.

At least it was my ultra cheapo $120 beater lens. Gave me a reason to upgrade but now that I've got my new lens on order, I'm broke!

I was over there about a week ago. I made a post in the NE forum without a lot of interest though. Plus my timetable was pretty busy as I was only over there for a week.

Got really good reviews for people on a budget. I was nearly going to throw in the extra cash for the f/2.8-4.0 in the same focal length, but the faster lens is not an AFS lens, and I really don't want to lug around the weight of a 2.8 lens. Plus, nearly $200 cheaper.
