So the other week some unknown liquid hits my car on the highway. I was lazy and didn't clean it off until the other day. TOday, unpon closer inspection I noticed that I can still see where the liquid spilled on my hood. It's very subtle, but I can clearly see it in some lights. Looking yet closer it looks like the paint was affected at the chemical level, as if it's permanently a little darker than normal. I clay barred and waxed, which helped, but it is still there. Now it's really pissing me off. I really hate myself for not cleaning it that day.
So... what are some alternate methods of getting rid of these imperfections?
I don't know about cleaning products but would a polish possibly help? They are mild abrasives right? If so, aren't there different levels of abrasivness? WHat brand and what methods are there to be sure the paint doesn't lose it's finish?
Also, what does a galze do? Will it help?
