    If it doesn't say 710N then it's not one. The stock vs. 710N part numbers are 058 145 710 vs. 06A 145 710N.

I've got a question, do you have to replace the stock A4's BPV with a BPV from a TT or aftermarket? Can you just leave the stock A4's BPV for a few months, and then get a TT one, or is it a necessity that you shuold do it around the same time as you chip? Thanks guys

It's definitely not some urgent emergency to get the BPV upgrade right away. But eventually, especially when you boost a lot with your newfound power, your stock one will goto doo doo.

The stock TT one (aka 710N) is a very adequate upgrade and is pretty cheap. It lasts people more than 30K miles, and helps noticeably reduce turbo lag. A BIG improvement over the stock BPV.

If you wanna shell out some more dough, you can always go for the Bailey's or Forge which are considered sorta top-of-the-line. Most people say that you can't actually feel a performance difference from the TT one, but they are more durable and makes your turbo sound a little cooler (so I've heard).

710N is good, most people have that.

I have a 710N like most folks around here and my only complaint is the longevity of the valve. After 25-30K miles it can begin to make a honking noise during part throttle coasting or light throttle on hills. Sounds like crap. At the budget price of $25 per valve, it's still cheaper to buy four 710N valves than one used Bailey or Forge BPV. Just more of a pain to swap it out I guess.

Here's the details on the honking noise:

You always try the Porche 110 valve. About $40-50, but should last longer than the 710N and should hold more boost with reliability.

Personally, the 710N is fine for me.

In your first post you stated that's what you had.

If you're asking if a DV is the same thing as a BPV, then the answer is yes.
