We have overstock of the STaSIS Street Sport suspension kits for the B5 A4/S4 and B6 A4's and so we are offering them at discounted pricing.

Here are the details;

STaSIS Street Sport Koni Coilover Kit for B5 A4/S4 and B6 A4; 4 KONI sport dampers; single adjustable (rebound), narrow band; suspension disassembly required for adjustment; cadmium plated threaded steel damper bodies; height adjustable; 4 progressive rate KONI springs (400 lb. spring rate; 450/440 for B6 A4); balanced and adjusted on SPA damper dynamometer

Retail is $995
Special pricing is at $895(coilovers for about the price of conventional dampers and sport springs!!)

These are different than the off the shelf Koni coilovers kits as STaSIS adjusts the damper settings on their damper dyno before sending them out.

We have numerous customers with this kit and they are ecstatic about the ride, handling, etc.

Only 4 kits are currently available so get them while they last!!

Not really, those are just standard Koni coilovers. There's a difference between those and the STaSIS Street Sports. And if you notice, that "similar deal" is being offered for the same price. And I don't know what PureMS is talking about with koni's retailing at $1400, I've never seen them sell for over $1k

Not according to Ryan Fackett at STaSIS. I made a query about these "STaSIS Street Sport (Koni) Coilovers" back in Feb. '04 ;

Q: Is the Street Sport Coil Over set up the same kit that you would get from Koni?

A: It is. We adjust them prior to shipping. But it the same kit you would get directly from KONI. We have considered building our own Street Sport kit, but currently it is less expensive to resell the KONI kit. Perhaps in the future we may make our own Street Sport kit, but not until we can get the price of a custom kit below $1000.


So please explain what this "difference" is exactly, what a "standard" Koni CO is?

So yes, it is the same basic "hard parts" as the off-the-shelf Koni c/o kit, but the STaSIS kit is different in that it is modified and set up by STaSIS before shipment.

perch height and rebound are adjustable, dampening is not (I believe)

Yes, rebound damping and spring perch height are pre-set by STaSIS.

Coilovers are still fully threaded units. I have a pic I can email if anyone likes.

Yes, I know. I just wanted you to know. People were getting the impression that this STaSIS "Street Sport" CO kit was perhaps re-engineered by STaSIS - when it is not. They only do, what anyone else could do, by turning the perch nuts and adjusting the dampers.

Correct. Anyone could adjust the rebound damping and set the perches themselves.....STaSIS just makes it a lot easier to bolt this setup(which they setup for optimum ride/handling) and go.

I'm interested, but what is the range on these? I read some specs that said they would lower between 1.5 and 2 - that's not much to work with. Is this true? Seems that most c/o kits go from 1 to 3 inches.

Not that I would ever use the full range, but it would be good to have - and I might go pretty high (~1") in the winter for snow and closer to 2" in summer.

I haven't measured the full drop on these, but we installed a set on a customer's B5 A4 Avant and dumped it to see how low we could get---the tires were tucked in the fenderwells and the susp could go lower still(although we don't recommend going lower than 1-1.25").
