Here's one you don't see everyday! This was a more expensive (35% more) and more powerful (rated at 44 HP versus 36 HP) car than the contemporary Volkswagen. It was also much more lavishly appointed. It is a true "pillarless" hardtop design, with sensual curves, wraparound rear windows, and lots of chrome. Beautifully built in the best German tradition.
This is a 3 cylinder two-stroke with front wheel drive. Engine starts easily and runs strong. Good transmission (4 speed on the tree) and brakes. Car needs a sympathetic restoration. Very solid and dry body-You won't find a better basis for restoration.
Original black paint (still shines, but worn through in places).
I did some research on these cars and found that they were very successful in racing both on the track and in long distance rallys. I read somewhere that they could even beat a Porsche 911 on certain tracks...
I don't have any time for this project, so I need to find a like-minded person out there to take it on- $1850 or interesting car or motorcycle trades. PRICE REDUCED TO $1500 (FIRM). Come and get this rare car!

its been up for sale for a little while already...nice ride though. very classy.

Yeah it has, I'd guess it'd be very hard to upkeep and maintain which is why there hasn't been any takers yet. If I had the cash flow and the right sources, I'd love to restore it and enter it in a few concourses and even a few vintage races! I hate the fact that I''l go to a concourse and never see a single audi!?!
