Since that time, a few developements have come about.
1. I sold my car to a guy in sacramento. So now i am in the market for a new car....evo? I think so.
2. I am currently in MI for a car and driver supercar shoot out. Since i now work for vishnu, i brought the shop car out here with my co-worker brett, where we met up with shiv, brian, and paul (our driver) for this supercar event. The event finished up yesterday, but i had a great time. All of the guys at car and driver are just awesome. Some of the most informed car guys i have ever met. Suprise suprise! It was great to also hang out with some of the other tuners around the country. The hennessy guys, the renntec guys, and lingenfelter crew were all really cool guy, along with the guys from active autowerks.
All in all we didnt do too bad at the event, although we were a bit disapointed. We had an intercooler hose that just didnt want to stay on, so we actualy only completed 2 full runs out of 5. As an insult to injury, one of those runs was thrown out because paul only hit 149.7 mph, not 150. Anyways, we held the class lead by a good margin for quite some time, until the mallett 800 hp caddy took its last run, and edged us out by 2 tenths of a sec. I am 99% possitive we would have beat them on our return run if the IC hose didnt pop off 100 yards from the finish point. So this is what we were left with....
-Best 0-60 time overall (3.35 secs)
-Best road course time in class (3rd best over all?)
-best quartermile in class (11.59 secs, which was a 3 way tie with a 800 hp twin turbo z06, and a twin turbo viper for third place overall.)
Overall, we were left with 2nd in class, and 6th overall. Not too bad for the only 4 banger, i guess. Some of the cars we went up against were simply amazing. From the Gallardo to the twin turbo vette, to the winning twin turbo viper, its amazing to see these cars in action.
Hooters meet in a week or so when i get back?!
