vic - i have a rack, but i might be bringing 2 other peeps. (so i might have 3 bikes on top) i'll confirm when the date approaches. definitely can caravan together.

Thule (and Yakima) prices are pretty much fixed so all dealers usually sell for the same price. Only chance is to hit a sale.

you avants have it easy - all you need are the cross bars and the bike attachments....should be cheaper than what i paid for my first thule rack (with the towers and everything)!

me & the boss might be able to make this...need to fix the flat we got last weekend though. of all the times we ride, the one time neither of us brought a patch kit or spare tube we get a flat @ the absolute furthest point from the start. ug.

And Ted, I have a bike for you to borrow if you're serious about going. You'd need to bring your own helmet though.

Dawn, we could meet at the Starbucks in Saratoga (map) where we met for the Santa Cruz drive. That way people who forgot to get water or food have a last chance to stock up. Then we can drive up Hwy 9 to the trailhead.
