    What was the recall for B7's ?(ECU Reflash)

    I recently took my B7 Audi in for a recall to update the software on the ECU. Does anyone knwo what it was for? It seemed like the motor pulled more but i could be dreaming.....lol

    lol there has been about 3 threads about this topic one of which was mine.....actually the ecu dealer reflash deletes any after market programs, but as far as gains if you were stock then got the reflash I have no idea.

    Yeah i saw the threads but no specifics... that was what I am looking for.... What exactely they updated....

    ^ I think there was an issue of low fuel pressure at high rpms, or something along those lines?

    Zapped you running on stock software pre update? I dont think anyone on here has been reflashed by the dealer and didnt previously have software so maybe it does make it a little faster

    i thought it had to do w/ fuel cut issues and cold starts and CEL lights that pulled no codes...thats what I was told

    I am taking my car in for its first oil change this week and will definitely talk with the service department and make sure they DON'T flash my car. If they clean off my Oettinger chip i'll be SUPER pissed since it's not available in the US yet and I cannot get re-flashed due to me not working for CEC/Oettinger anymore.

    ^^^ Haven't had it done yet. I'm pretty short on cash these days since I'm inbetween jobs.


    Btw... a few weeks ago a buddy of mine who just bought an A3 told me he saw a killer looking black A3 with Oettinger front, lowered, wheels, etc out in Santa Monica. I'm pretty sure it was your car that he was describing.

    The car got him hooked. He's going to get a full kit and some nice wheels soon.


    I'm finally going to get the kit for my B7 and new wheels as soon as my Evolution IX sells. I have a couple guys coming to check it out this week. It's back to mint condition after getting rear ended and i got the curbed wheel replaced.

    I'm going to miss my track car since the thing just hauls so much a$$.... but i just cannot afford both the A4 and Evo.
