Question Need Tint Input. Somewhat of a Problem..

This is somewhat of a repost, but I really need other people's input on this. Thanks in advance fellas.

Does anyone notice that the rear windows (not windshield) are somewhat reflective when using the same type of tint? I had my vehicle recently tinted, and noticed that the rears seem almost metallic at certain angles. I'm aware that stock windows are tinted from the factory, however, is it a possibility that it would create this type of discrepancy? FYI, the fronts are 34% while the rears are limo. I double checked that the proper film was used. Am I just being crazy? Thanks for the help.

My car is also black on black, so that might add to the effect...

Of course the fronts will be a lot lighter because the light penetrates from the front, but would that really cause this type of visual inconsistency? Perhaps the stock windows came with some type of special coating that creates this type of look?

That's just the type of tint used.....if I understand the situation properly.

So your issue is that it looks reflective (metallic) in appearance? If you used an all metal tint, then that is the result most will produce. Some are more reflective then others. Also, although the glass is tinted from factory, Audi glass has a "green" cast to it, so this can be exacerbated by the reflectivity from the tint (I had this issue with my FormulaOne Premier Series Tint). My car is silver though, so it looked overwhelmingly silver IMO. I looked into the Ultimate Series (which is more matte looking and less reflective, but it also looked more green in appearance). Basically, you need a less reflective tint, one that is more like the traditional "charcoal" colored hybrid (metal/dye) tints.

I have the FormulaOne Pinnacle Series, ceramic tint now. It's the best IMO.

The tint used was HP Solar Gard. The problem that I'm having is that the front windows do not look metallic at ALL, but the rears do. I'm wondering what is causing this type of discrepancy. Someone else must have noticed this? Am I TOO detail orientated? Thanks.

I think it's something that has to be seen in person. I've come to the conclusion that the rear windows have a greenish factory tint on them creating this visual discrepancy. So be it. Thanks for the help though. I'm sure someone else will notice it too if they just look a little closer on their own vehicle.
