Might buy a 2001 S4, is this a good deal?

48,000 miles
Automatic
Silver with black leather
Certified 2 year/100,000 mile warranty

I negotiated to $23,500 and put a deposit down


Opinions please, I am also looking at a 6-speed Nogaro Blue 2000 S4 tomorrow...but it has 56,000 miles on it. The guy is asking $24,500

Personally, I would go w/ the nogaro 6spd. I'm partial to standard and, well, nogaro. =)

The deal sounds great if you are loking for an auto, 2 yr/ 100k mile warranty is not bad either. Personally though I would go with the 6sp.

The auto didn't seem that doggish. I am coming off of a 1995 M3 that had some work done to it.

It's kinda hard to pass up the one with the warranty, especially for one with no warranty and high miles...ya know?

You could contact an aftermarket warrenty company. It won't be cheap butt it can't hurt to ask.

Which did you buy? I would have went with the Auto. I honestly dont like to buy any car that is in first year of production(2000 S4). Especially since we've heard of the MAF change and F hose problems.
