    Groaning noise when turning...ugh.

I think I've had this happen when I first picked up my car (used). When turning to the right, there's a groaning/creaking noise and you can feel a related vibration through the steering wheel. The source of the noise is coming from the driver side wheel area. Last time the dealer told me it was worn tie rod ends. My tie rod ends were just replaced a couple of months ago. What do you think it could be? Looks like another trip to my mechanic! (sigh)

I had a similar problem and it seemed to be a power steering fluid leak, and eventually after being taken into audi, needed a new steering system improted from Germany. Thanks Audi Warranty!

I actually had that replaced earlier this year. This new issue has a different sound to it. My fluid levels seem to be good.

    Thanks.

tie rods could definitely be the culprit.

I had the same problem a few months back. I had Audi Assured, so it was covered. On the recept they said they replaced the front stabalizers I believe. Inquire about that, the noise only happened on slow turns like in a neighborhood or a stop sign. Anything above like 20mph was silent.
