Finally put b6 s4 brakes on.

Car stops great, truly is as easy as they say as far as bolt on. Fills my wheels center very nicely now. I did some 60-5 stops last night, I can't believe how much less fade these have over stock brakes. I'm still running stock pad compounds as well. This should complete my performance mods for some time, other than a new clutch soon. Only thing left to do really, is my caractere front and paint. Anyway, on to the pic..

    Nice!

What are the specs on those brakes? What size rotors and how many pistons in the caliper?

I got them from Tyson (1fasts4) They are 13.5", calipers are one HUGE piston from what I can tell. I don't give a rats either way, the improvement is tremendous over the stock brakes. For the recordDerrick, they do fit under the sport 17's. I just test fitted them.
    Cheers! David

Modulation is great. I took a drive again tonight, brakes are truly awesome. Can't think of a better bang for buck. ALl I need is a more agressive pad compound, and I'll be set for the track. Bite is great, not too abrupt, but noticably better than stock. Pedal feels seems slightly stiffer, but that could be from the motul. BEst of all these wheels have WAY more clearance than the b5 s4 or the stoptech kits. Only downside I would say is they are heavy as hell!

Another downside is brakedust. I thought the original B6 brakes were bad, but these are the worst. And on top of that, I can't find any place that sells aftermarket brake pads for this setup. I agree they're heavy as hell and again no place has replacement rotors out yet.

This setup would be perfect when I get the pads and rotors. Do you have any plans to upgrade the rears? Wonder if the S4 rears would fit?

If I can pick up a set of rear brakes, I'm there. I figure it's worth a shot.

Ehh.. there is no real point to upgrade the rears.. Just get some good pads/rotors/SS lines for the rear and be done with it

I love my S4 brakes, prolly one of my favorite mods..

Hey Silence. What did you pay for the calipers? Cause I got a price from my local parts counter that would knock your socks off. I think it's what I'll end up doing when the time comes. Looks great. Nice job.

For sure Tyson. I hear you're thinking of selling you car. What's up with that? Anyway, ya, we need to hook up. I wan't to see how my car will fare agaisnt yours, with the new turbo kit. Should be interesting.

On the subject of rear brakes, I know it's not really neccessary, but not only would the set match, I hate the size of our rear rotor. The b6 s4 rear rotor is even bigger than our stock front rotor. Being that it would be a matched system, I would think it could only help, not hurt. We'll see.

    Sleeper,
I saw your post before, and the price they quoted you. As I said, jump on it. There is no way in hades these brakes are that cheap, especially for OEM. If that price is still available, jump on it. In fact, buy some extras and sell them for a profit. I can almost guanatee you that was a misquote.
    Cheers! David

Oh yeah, I forgot you were on that conversation. Yes, I'm going to circle back around to see if it's still available. It sounded way to good to be true when I heard it too. I just haven't been in the market, so the idea's kind of died. I'll let everyone know. I asked at the time for a quote on the B5's, and that price seemed realistic, so who knows. Congrats again.

Oh, as for your rear set up couldn't hurt idea, I'd take a look into our Master cylinder vs. the B6 S4's. If it's a lot larger than ours, you could run into issues with switching your setup to full S trim. Just my $0.02.
