How to run a custom light switch help - wiring help

I am running wires from my custom angel eyes to my drivers side of the car. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on switches to pick up and if so how to wire the switch. (Where the positive goes, where the negative goes, if it needs to be grounded to something specific.)

anyone? my scenario is that i have the 2 wire coming off the headlight sitting in my drivers side right now. i dont know how to power the switch or how to run the wires. im trying to test it on a home light switch. i have a 220 resistor in

If you have a resistor then I'm guessing you used leds. Just ground the cathode (shorter lead) and run the anode to a switch then the other side to 12v+. Or if you want them on with ignition just run the anode to ignition.

i probably sound like a dumbass, but not sure what the anode or the cathode is.

Leds are diodes. They only allow electrons to flow in one direction. If you hook them up and they don't work reverse the leads.
