NOS and me

I'm considering adding some NOS to my ride. Good idea/bad idea? Is there any problems with doing so? I need some advice

do some other mods b4 u go straight to nitrous. there are many more mods that'll help yur ride and won't have the detrimental effect that nitrous can have to the engine. if u wanna use nitrous for the sake of using it, and i admit, despite being a bit ricey, it is kinda cool to have a bottle mounted in the trunk, just get a NX N-Tercooler dealie. uses nitrous to mist it onto an FMIC to help further cool the air goin in. should have a large effect on our forced induction cars

Thanks for the advice, i probably won't get NOS untill i DO get more mods done(exhaust, new DV, FMIC). Any idea how much the NOS and installation and NX N_Tercooler would cost?

Pic 3 shows what would happend if you sucked down that kind of NOS. Sadly there are still people out there that think it's the same kind that comes out of the Redi-Whip can.

those pics are funny, I suggest you do more turbo based mods, nos is ok, but ive been in a car with nos and everytime the kid would squeeze we would hold our breath hoping the engine didnt pop.

Forget the N-tercooler, modify that system to mist CO2 onto the intercooler, brings down temps and is safer for your internals. I hate nitrous, should be banned and by the way even just carrying a empty bottle is now illegal in many states, you have to have a permit to carry nitrous with you in a car .

I have not heard of that law here in Washington(not saying its not illegal). Just out of curiosity, what makes NOS and a turbo bad?

Most people dont know, even most cops have no idea of the law. My boss's brother is a cop and we were talking about it and I was shocked. I know thats CT law, but it is a hazardous chemical and I believe you need a HAZMAT liscense? any one know details?

a4's engines arent under enough load with the stock turbo to really be to much more dangerous than an N/A car... just dont go crazy with the shot and make sure that your timing is set for it...
