Is there a write up somewhere of how to remove the lower door moldings and/or rear valence from the car?

i did it on my car. never took it off. i took off the front valence, but not the sides or the rear. i just purchased some 3 foot wide paper that they have at sherwin williams and taped my car off. it came out perfect for me.

wouldn't it be easier to take it off so you could lay it down flat, so the paint doesn't run? I don't know im knew at this. TIA

It doesn't run if you spray it right and lightly, which is what you should be doing anyway.

Haha I guess you couldn't trust my PM eh? =P I think the sanding and priming helps the paint stick on contact.

you also want to use a good plastic flex primer. it will help the paint stick much better, especially to the black lower door molding. joeya103 is right, if you are having problems with paint running, then you screwed up and put way too much on for that coat. it will probably not hold up nearly as well as if you do several lighter coats that wont have problems with running.

Wouldn't it be hard to match the color of your car?
