I was cruising along at about 20mph and all of a sudden the revs surge really high then the car shuts off. I have a TIP by the way. The ESP, battery, CEL all come on. Power steering goes off and the display area that diplays the gear (P, R, N, D, 1, 2) shows ALL of them selected. All are lit in red. I pull the car over and try to restart it. It tries to turn over but doesn't. Finally I get the car started but once I put it into drive the car dies again. I try once more and am able to drive the car to the dealer. All other warning lights are off now except for the CEL. I don't have a VAG so I do not have any codes. My first thought is its a torn hose of some sort. Anyone else get this problem? Wont hear from the dealer till tomorrow. Has anyone else experienced this?
