    Re: Quick Question...

it could even be the ECU acting up. It might be best to take it to a wrench or electrical repair place

    Re: Quick Question...

yeah i think that will be a last resort. If he only had a B5... i could fix such problems. Where is the ECU in these things. I havent looked under good light, but it looks alot different than my car. Maybe take out the ECU for a bit and put it back in? how would we find the alarm fuse in the box? Thanks for the help

    Re: Quick Question...

Im not sure where it would be in the '95, but my ECU is tucked up under the passenger side dash, right above where the carpeting starts. It might be the same on the later 90 model, you might check there. And before replacing the unit or having it serviced you should probably have a VAG scan to see if there are any fault codes that can be cleared to fix the problem

    Re: Quick Question...

Most 90 models had the alarms in the trunk. Check the wires in the trunk lid. Notorious for breaking, due to opening and closing the trunk. This affect all sorts of other electrical systems in these cars.
