From one two-tone to another, the allroad is looking good. I went with yellow LEDs in my fogs as well. What cargo basket is that?

Nice, I see fewer allroads these days, but would love to see pics of yours! I've got amber halogens in my fogs now but will likely change out to brighter yellow ones when one goes out. What's next for yours? Cargo basket is Audi quattro badged, but am unsure the model number. Looks very similar to a Thule Trail model I saw recently, though.

Honestly would love one of these. So much sleeker than what I currently have, however I can haul a whole lot of weight with mine (which is what I got it for). Did you purchase it with the vehicle?

Haha yeah I did buy it with the car and from another AZ member, as a matter of fact. Trouble is, it's mounted on low clearance whispbars which actually impedes the sunroof operation (which is annoying), but the "look" is definitely something I like. I'm certainly considering other options, though, as I tend to prefer function over form, but don't know if people have found a remedy for the problems that come with the "low profile life"...

While mine is admittedly a show basket, at present (we haul the kids/dogs/camping gear in the Outback with another basket/bag combo). I have no affiliation with Thule, but the Audi one on my car looks pretty identical to the Thule Trail XT L, which my neighbor has installed on their Outback. Load capacity is 165lbs, so I'm not sure how much weight you're carrying. I never hit over 100 lbs of gear on the top mount. https://www.thule.com/en-us/cargo-ca...xt-l-_-1690112

Ive topped over 200lbs, but it was a one time thing. I understand the sunroof problems. I had it with mine until I adjusted the bars to maximum length placement for weight. Not the OE placement.

I'll need to search it and see if they have a longer one as I have an A6. I like it alot, I actually like it more than a box. And aerodynamics come into play with MPG when going long distance to a show. I plan on driving to a few East Coast events this year once my build is finished for 2022.

For now, here's a 2021 picture with the basket, not loaded up. But I have had 2 sets of wheels up there before and one set in the car at one time when toting my and a buddies wheels from houses to a shop.IMG_20211017_072720_783.jpg

Looks as though Thule has a "Large" option that is exterior length of 63". I think my basket is 68" but id have to measure. If I can get a solid discount or find a used one (as I cant fathom dropping 600 + shipping for it currently... Maybe after the build is finished) I will definitely opt for one.

Appreciate the perspective and I'll see what options there are for maximizing the length placement! It would be nice to use my sunroof again, for sure...

Wish my long roof was a little longer

Good deal on coming out east for some shows! Any in particular you're gonna hit? Most events I see are out west or somewhere deep in New England, so I've never had cause to go. I'm located in VA so I have options, but they're all far when you have two kids under two lol

Of course, like myself, having the availability to use your sunroof means you'll only open it twice over the summer. Lol, I fought enough to make sure I could use it, and rarely do.

Thanks man! I love it, its quick but not tuned. Still undecided on doing the tune before supporting mods. The A6 is definitely spacious, and with using carseats myself as my kid just turned 2 and I'm about 6'2", the extra headspace and leg space is lovely coming from an A4.

I'm also out east already, I live in MD right next to DC. Probably be hitting Waterfest, Mt Helen, Avantoberfest/Longroof Rally, EuroFest, and other ones I cant think of as of now... Definitely Dulles Cars and Coffee, Katie's, Capitol Auto Club, and other locals. We'll have to plan a few so I can see the Allroad!
