Re: WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK OF THE Eurocode 2.0FSI DV Replacement Kit from ecode tunin

I say before anyone does replace the DV to any other aftermarket one. Those who has torn their oem one should state what year is your Audi and if possible, when it was manufacture. This would help alot of nervous people and hoping their DV will not tear.

I have a 07 which I picked up new in Oct and no issue so far.

Aside from the tight working confines, replacing a torn DV is no big deal. If you can change your oil, you can change a DV. Mine tore at 21.5K miles. I have a 2005.5 that came with a Rev 'B'.

Even if it tears, wouldn't it be covered under warranty? And wouldn't the dealer replace it with the latest revision? Seems like the logical thing to do if it's free?

    Yes, Yes and Yes.

For me, the only dealer I trust is about 60 minutes out of my way (round trip). The travel time + time spent waiting isn't worth the ~$45 it cost me to replace it myself. Not only did I get the satisfaction of fixing it myself, but I gained more knowledge about my car
