Question WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK OF THE Eurocode 2.0FSI DV Replacement Kit from ecode tuning???

Hi, i just visited eurocode today and decided to purchase a testpipe. the Eurocode 2.0FSI DV Replacement Kit. I haven't yet paid it. im having it paid and installed tomorow night.

they advised me in purchasing the Eurocode 2.0FSI DV Replacement Kit
saying that the stock one will eventually rip and its the most effective. honestly... i dont know all the technical whoopee whoop. i just need some opinion on this matter on the Eurocode 2.0FSI DV Replacement Kit or if it actually matters which valve to get.

Also how do you guys feel about the blowoff valves? i like it lol i guess because of playing too much initial D. i dont know but, what do you guys think about getting a blow off valve and getting that WHOOOSH sound?

also if anyone got the Eurocode 2.0FSI DV Replacement Kit , testpipe, or both from eurocode and had it installed. how much did you guys purchase it for?

    THANKS! vroom vroom

the whoooosh sound comes from the DV on the B7s.. not the blow off valves

The EuroCode DV is to hold boost without threat of a tear, as the OEM version is susceptible to. (Mostly on chipped / altered vehicles)

It was made to replace the stock ones because the stock ones rip easily. It'll definitely be handy because you're chipped.

how much is it. a new valve is only 40. I haven't killed my Revised one on the k04. I wouldn't pay 200+ for a different solution.

is it a "MUST" to replace the oem valve because u are chipped?

No. The OEM Rev 'B' valve is prone to failure regardless of whether or not you're chipped. There's already a TSB from Audi regarding this dated back in Dec '06. The part number has been revised to rev 'C', but that has also been reported to be susceptible to failure.

Here's a reference for the sound.
The sound is recorded on a tiny digital camera mic, so turn your speakers all the way up to get the full effect.

This is a test pipe on stock exhaust.

I told you to turn the speakers up - here's redline with the stock exhaust and test pipe......listen for the Forge DVFSiT + Carbonio swish once I left off the gas.

i probably wont replace mine until it does actually tear, seems like false hype to get us to purchase a product that we don't necessarily need.

haha actually, i know few people whose stock DV teared becuz of either carbonio intake or ecu upgrade.

not if you are a steady driver. if you tend to speed alot.... then itll tear sooner or later. if you speed alot than id say at the most... 3 months itll last. Car is still operational but itll sound as if somethings really broken... like a shit old car. hmmmm kind of like a tractorish?

iono your going to have to purchase one sooner or later.

Wait till you start it up on a cold morning with a TP.

Nothing will fix this (Not even a DV, BOV or Freddy Valve) as thats how the FSI engine sounds.

stock dv tearing as a result of installing a carbonio? i'd love to see the data to back that one up. while i believe eurocode has made a fine product, i dont see the need for it until the faithful day that something *might* happen to the stock dv.

If your current DV is not torn then why replace it ?

Have you even checked what revision you current DV is ?

The Rev C DV seem to hold up pretty well and even on K04s. I would understand if you went through several DVs and you where fed up replacing them to go down the path of a "Freddy Valve".

IMO save your money get a Carbonio CAI which will compliment your TP add performance and give you that desired whooossshhh sound.

In regards to a BOV here we go again. These turbos arent designed to work with them. Simple search would give you an answer as to why.

Re: WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK OF THE Eurocode 2.0FSI DV Replacement Kit from ecode tunin

I have the DV replacement kit from ECODE eco. I highly recommend it on a FLASHED car. This replaces the stock prone to fail DV and you know have a mechanical valve. It gives you better throttle response in all rpm ranges. ( i have a fwd CVT) and highly recommend the upgrade.
My mods: DV 2.0 replacement kit from ECODE.
    APR 91,93,100 oct flash.
    ECode Test pipe. (crack pipe)
word on test pipe: definitely replace the DV Valve with a test pipe. you will be amazed at how the car reacts under boost. i will have dyno pulls on these mods.
test pipe can be a lil smelly...( specially the first 3 days after install...i have a funny story to tell...but that's for another topic.)
if you are in So cal..and need to get any more feedback...you are welcome to test drive my car. just let me know a few days in advanced im mostly free in the weekends.
ahh i paid 130ish for the Dv replacement kit. from Ecode and bout 50 for the install.
    hope it helps.

Re: WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK OF THE Eurocode 2.0FSI DV Replacement Kit from ecode tunin

I say before anyone does replace the DV to any other aftermarket one. Those who has torn their oem one should state what year is your Audi and if possible, when it was manufacture. This would help alot of nervous people and hoping their DV will not tear.

I have a 07 which I picked up new in Oct and no issue so far.

Aside from the tight working confines, replacing a torn DV is no big deal. If you can change your oil, you can change a DV. Mine tore at 21.5K miles. I have a 2005.5 that came with a Rev 'B'.

Even if it tears, wouldn't it be covered under warranty? And wouldn't the dealer replace it with the latest revision? Seems like the logical thing to do if it's free?

    Yes, Yes and Yes.

For me, the only dealer I trust is about 60 minutes out of my way (round trip). The travel time + time spent waiting isn't worth the ~$45 it cost me to replace it myself. Not only did I get the satisfaction of fixing it myself, but I gained more knowledge about my car

saying that the stock one will eventually rip and its the most effective. honestly... i dont know all the technical whoopee whoop. i just need some opinion on this matter on the Eurocode 2.0FSI DV Replacement Kit or if it actually matters which valve to get.

    THANKS! vroom vroom

didn't you only need an updated DV if you were running an older version DV. I thought i read that on newer audi's got an updated DV that works much better, did I read wrong?

I've been reading alot about "Testpipes". It says that one of the sensors will pop up once the cat is removed and it obviously will not pass for smog. Is there an advantage other than more horsepower?

well... what im hearing is that... a teared DV .... if driven under a certain amount of time can cause damage to turbo? well overall it cant be a good thing... i hurd it makes car sound really bad if you drive with torn DV.

and if you have an APR ecu upgrade. You get a free stage II upgrade for test pipes. The stage II makes car think cat is still isntalled .

91 APR // ECODE TESTPIPE // ECODE DV REPLACEMENT
