Just wanted to show this thing I found over the weekend. This thing popped up on CL, and at the price he was asking I figured it was a scam, but you never know until you try.
So, drove over there and saw it in person. And it was legit and real. Spent 5 minutes talking about it, drove it a couple blocks and gave him the $ . I never even opened the hood until I got it home.
I've been through a few Audi's (two C5 Avants, four C5 S6's, 7 or 8 B6's, four B5's) ...this is the newest Audi I've ever owned and I think it'll stay that way. I know my way around them well enough but will likely need some specific B7 education.
Anyhow, on to the thing- it's an 07' and I think probably started as an S'line *OR* someone went nuts on OEM+ at a dealership. For the normal stuff it's fairly well equipped: RNS-e, Sat radio, CD changer in glovebox, color cluster, Iphone integration, bluetooth. But has no s'line badging or 'trim' anywhere, and non-Bose stereo? But S4 door blades (not s-line) and S-line bumpers. It was either sold that way or someone spent some cash $.
Then we get to some cool stuff -19" Hartmann Euromesh on Conti's is a good start.
Looks like full 3" STASIS exhaust and STASIS suspension, with big sway bars - I haven't been under this thing yet, only driven it 45 miles so there may be more. Silicone intake plumbing, Legit Carbonio Airbox I think. And looks like K04, and going by the way this thing drives maybe Stg2 tune.
I've fixed some shorts that had been causing bulb errors for a couple years, and in the process of swapping my Pandas in. It needs a CV joint and a good cleaning. Otherwise...seems fairly dialed.
OH!!! Dammmit - so, I haven't pulled the head unit yet but I have no rear speakers. Can someone (MATT!? ) tell me how the hell to convert a bose quadlock to NON-bose? I've done it before, but it's been a while and I have TWO cars with this problem now.
