Gotcha. I know that a K04'ed B6 is still slow in comparison to many cars

Yea :). I just wish we could squeeze some more from the K04. A BT seems to be a much bigger committment (temporal, financial, etc.).

Re: Removing the cat - pre/post dyno graphs

i just read through all the posts and wanted to say this.. the test pipe does add 10hp to u'r engine.. or more... but its not 10hp added to u'r max..say you only have 100awhp at 2000rpm, well, if your next dyno says that at 2000rpm you made 110hp, that's the hp gain. it's just a number they throw at you cuz c'mon, everyone wants more power...

So a high flow cat is useless? I was about to swap my stock one out.

Re: Removing the cat - pre/post dyno graphs

dont get me wrong, it definitely opens up u'r exhaust and u'll love the sound, but dont expect u'r hp to go up where you think it is... it's going to prob be more down low where u'r going to feel it or something like that... u'r peak power isnt going to go up, but u'r offpeak hp/tq is going to get a little kick.. i feel mine more like 2k rpm

A HFC is still better than the OEM Cat, but it will not provide you the gains that a TP will. I went from a TP to a HFC and i know i lost a few HP, but not enough to be concerned with. I prefer the HFC since it won't be poluting as much as i was with just the TP.

Leave worrying about pollution to the Prius's. I like to drive next to Prius's on the road so we can be a moving contradiction.
