Well, the saga continues:
I have a Treo 680.
The device itself works great with my A4's Bluetooth.
However:
I also have GoodLink on my Treo, and as part of the security profile of Goodlink, the device locks itself after the regular inactivity timeout. When the keypad is locked, I can't dial using car's BT setup.
Having spent about 1.5 hours on the phone with Cingular and Palm, I now know that a Palm Treo 680 CANNOT be dialed using Bluetooth when the keypad is locked.
That is sooo stupid!!!!!

Are you listening Palm? Why the BLEEP did you design you BLEEP'ing device so BLEEP'ingly stupid!!!!!!
So, If I want to make a hands-free call, I have to get the 680 out of its holster, enter the password to unlock it, and THEN place the call. So: The Treo 680 can't be hands-free with Goodlink. and: Goodlink is not oficially supporting the 680.
Man, comprehensive, widely adopted, robust standards are SO needed in this space!!!!!
