good luck to you! But do you have a plan B? I still work full time and work on our startup on the weekends. It's not easy, but I'll never have to worry about money. And if all else fails I still have a job. My work allows for long absences so when we launch I'll b taking an "extended vacation" to see what happens.

Exactly.

You should try and get a degree in entrepeneurship or economics (I recommend the latter). What business are you starting up? I am in college and will be starting a business here very soon as well. Would it be too much to do both? I am not criticizing at all by the way so do not take offense.

while dropping out of college might not be the best idea for a startup...

if you dont attempt a startup when you're younger, chances are slim when you're older.

im not saying it cant be done, but i filed for my first business when i was 16. it wasnt until i was 19 that i decided to step it up a notch and really go for it, invest a large amount of time and money into it... and while i still think im lacking and far from where i want to be, i realized that if i didnt try it when im young and a loss would be hard, but one i could overcome, it would only get harder if i was older with a Dependant or kids or something of that sort...

im not saying dont stay in school or avoid thinking it out, but also dont let the fear of losing something steady, prevent you from taking a chance on something that could be even better.
