Max Wheel Fitment for a6 3.0t

I currently have a 2010 Audi A6 Prestige 3.0t with the stock wheels (18x8 et48), with 245/40/18 tires. I'm trying to find some bigger width aftermarket wheels, specifically 18x10 with 285/40/18 tires, but don't want any rubbing. I don't really care if the wheels stick out as long as there's no rubbing on the fenders or wheel well. I also have the stock suspension so there is more room to play.

I am unsure about what aftermarket wheels will fit, the A6 and S6 wheel well sizing is different as well as the RS6. All will have different offsets etc. That should narrow down somewhat for you, TireRack,com should still have the virtual showroom to see what rims look like on your car (and what fits). Im sure many sites do that now.

Wheel specs in sig: Stock prestige suspension. Fronts are flush with no rub, and rears are flush, but your liners rub if you have too much weight in the back or go over really big bumps.



My drive is at an angle, so the rear is compressed if I back up enough and park. You can't get a piece of paper in that gap.
