    I am in the middle of writing off my immo. But I am not 100% sure I am changing the right values. From what all found all I should have to do is change values 012 and 022 to 02. I am sorry if this is a stupid question but I am not sure as to if im doing the right things for a soft patch of the immo. Thank you in advance

    Are you talking about writing to the ECU or changing values using VCDS? You won’t be able to set your ECU to Immo off without removing the ECU and bench reading and flashing the EEPROM using the tools from Nefmoto. An alternative is to adapt your ECU to work with your cluster which is much easier than bench flashing. No ECU removal and having to cut the ECU out of the antitheft cage.

    on a hex editor, I have pulled the bin using the eeprom tool and had opened it in the HxD hex editor. I am wondering if I am changing the right values there.

    Probably too late to help the OP, but explanation/suggestions for those nefmoto alternatives to using commercial software or sketchy cracked chinese software to accomplish ECU EEPROM tasks are;

    Command line program EEPROMTOOL_04 can load a EEPROM.bin file to turn immo off or on, display or change SKC, change VIN, change soft coding for ECU to work on different drivetrain type, correct checksum, and other functionality related to displaying or modifying the ECU EEPROM without needing to read and edit the .bin with a hexadecimal editor or need to know where the relevant bytes are located in the file.

    Note that EEPROMTOOL_04 does not include functionality to read/write to ECU EEPROM, it just works with .bin file already read from EEPROM. Program ME7_95040 (version 1.31 has worked best for me) can read the ECU EEPROM over OBDII port and write a EEPROM.bin back to ECU (bootmode only, requires opening ECU case), Instructions and download program from;

    Also, newer developed open source program ME7BootTool has very similar functionality and can work with a wider range of ECUs to read from and write (in bootmode) to ECU EEPROM is at;

    Lastly, another good companion open source command line program to use along those above for reading/writing instrument cluster EEPROM is KW1281test. It provides an easy single program solution for quickly reading and displaying SKC (from cluster) over OBDII port, performing new key adaptation, and pinging other module addresses such as CCM.
