    Rear Driver window not working

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I recently had my driver rear window stop working all together. No up, no down, from either the driver door switch and the back drivers side door switch. It had worked perfectly fine in the morning and on the way home from work it stopped. The window motor did not appear to struggle like its going out, just ceased to function. Has this happened to anyone else? If so how did you fix it? 2019 car with 50K garage kept. Seems unlikely that a motor or switch died, but possible? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe have a peek at the wiring harness that goes from the pillar to the door. Sometimes wires get hard and crack in those locations.

Do you have access to VCDS? Wonder if there’s a diagnostic test you could run with it.

I don't have VCDS, update though the window just started working again but now the auto up malfunctions. It will roll all the way up and back down. You have to inch the window up manually (using switch) and it will close. I had the same issue on my old 2006 A6 as well and just learned to live with it

Have you tried using silicone spray or some other equivalent in the guide rail/seals to help reduce stiction?

The window does not have any trouble motor wise, when its operating it goes up and down quickly like all the other windows. It seems like a programming glitch more so than anything. I have heard of resetting the one touch up/down buttons on other cars, but I have not seen advice given for this platform.

According to my manual, reset procedure for One Touch is same as it's been on all my other Audi's. Open Window as far as it will go; release then hold button in Open position for at least a second; close window; release button then hold button in Closed position for at least a second. Good luck- YMMV.

I tried this with no success. Either my issue is something else causing it, or more likely, I am not trying this sequence correctly. Been trying to find a YT video to help but no luck so far.
