A nice Misano just hits Cars and Bids today, will probably go for quite a bit but worth a bid

Was watching that one, great color! Went for a little over $33k, nice strong price. New owner should be happy.

I think that was a pretty solid price! I just paid $28.5K for the same color with 20k more miles than that. I probably would have paid an extra $5k for that many (less) miles.

Your prices are crazy. You should look at importing from the UK, we can't give them away for £15k over here lol and tonnes of 60k mile cars are just not selling at £20k, sat for months. I guess the steering wheel being on the other side is a factor when considering importing, but mainland Europe where the wheel is on the left could be worth considering for those of you that would like immaculate low mile examples. Not sure what import fees would be due but maybe worth investigating.

Believe you me, I would import.

#1, as you stated, UK is RHD. Not even a novelty here, nobody imports RHD cars. They just don't, couldn't tell you why. The only reason to would be a car solely offered in RHD.

#2, import. It's damn near impossible to import a car to the US. It doesn't cost a ton, maybe a few grand but there are only 3 ways of doing it.

The first, and by far the easiest, is waiting until it is 25 years old. There are literally no restrictions. Import anything. But B7s are not 25 years old yet sooo...

Second is "federalization," you can import a car that is substantially same or similar to one that was imported by the manufacturer. However, it has to conform to all of our regulations. Does a B7 RS4 fit this is? Of course, they were already imported. But, you would have to change it to meet every US regulation. This could mean seat belts, lights, brake pads, emissions, etc. It has been done, but it can get costly.

Last is Show and Display. You can import whatever only to "show and display" it. The problem? You have to certify by the manufacturer that less than 500 cars were produced worldwide. We are talking really high end cars for this.

So yeah, in order for us to get the good stuff, we pretty much have to wait 25 years. RS2s are finally making their way over here, but they cost just as much in Europe.

Salvage title doesn’t bother you I have mine with 31k miles on it now but open to offers. Was a part of a collection at time of accident. Side swipe. Insurance verified title branding was due to not being able to source parts to repair it. pm me if interested though
