What is my main fuse supposed to be?

Hello, I have recently picked up a b6 a4 as my first project car. It turns over but doesn’t start due to error code 17072. I had first thought it was relay 219 so I replaced it but it’s still throwing me that code. So I suspect it’s gotta be wiring or the fuses so I went to my Haynes manual and it mentioned fuse 88(or a fuse strip) with a pretty high amp fuse. I cannot find this one and the only two I’ve found that I believe could be the main fuses are in a funky place under my dash. Am I looking at the right things or am I getting way to far ahead of myself.

Yeah, I think the main fuse might be up under the dash. There is a big one above where your left shin might be if you are in a left-hand-drive car. See the circle in the image. There might be two fuses there, but one might be 60 amps.

I hope you find it. I wonder what could have caused it to blow though, if that's what happened for you? Keep us informed.

They didn’t blow, I just wanted to figure it out because I was very confused by my wiring diagrams from my Haynes manual. I actually believe that it’s not a wiring issue but the person before me had improperly tuned a new ecm into her, and whilst fighting with it he had cracked to case to my ecm causing a bit of water damage finishing her off. I’ve gotten a new ecm but I have to do a lot to it since I couldn’t find the exact model(I had ended up pulling one from an 05 Passat iwth the longitudinal 1.8t. Hoping this will fully solve my issue, if not it’s a pesky little wire going from the fuse box up to my ecm.

Thank you again for the help though, it had really set me in the right direction. Can I write your name down somewhere on her to honour you?
