Driver headlight will not shut off

Last speed bump before I can break the motor in.

Driver headlight will not go out.
Everything else operates as normal.
If I remove the headlight switch and remove the keys from ignition.
The headlight will shut off.

I’ve checked for corrosion on the bcm, and removed all relays from under the steering wheel area looking for anything out of the obvious.

No fault codes in vcds.

Ive also swapped in a known good headlight switch.


I’ve also popped open the headlight and it looked good.

Any help would be appreciated.


This was a b7 rs4 2.7 swap.

I’ve unhooked everything I installed and still no resolution….
I should just wire in a toggle switch and call it a day.

Found the problem.
Wire in headlight switch was not making contact.

Btw all-data wiring diagrams are much better.
