Audi D 454 300 A2 Sealant - Is this stuff supposed to cure?

Does anyone know if this sealant is supposed to cure? I've used DC730 as my go-to sealant for Audi S4 valve/timing-chain covers in the past, which definitely cures, but I decided to use the Audi recommended sealant (D 454 300 A2) this time since it was half the price of the DC730. This stuff looks like blue silicone grease and has not shown any signs of curing in the last 48 hours?!? The expiration date on the tube is 10/2025 so it hasn't expired. Does anyone out there have experience using this for valve/timing chain covers? I haven't been able to find any technical data or SDS for this stuff online. I'm hoping it's supposed to work this way so I don't have to tear everything apart again to replace some bad sealant. Thanks.

ECS calls it drive axle sealant and “ Prevent moisture from entering CV joint”

Maybe its like an anaerobic sealer which doesn’t cure in open air and needs to be pressed between 2 pieces without oxygen.

Interesting idea, I suppose that could be the case but anaerobic sealants are typically used to seal metal-to-metal joints and they cure hard, so I don't think an anaerobic sealant would be a good application for the valve cover gaskets.

Hopefully someone who has used this stuff will respond. I seems to be widely available so someone has to be using it for something?!?
