    Weirdest high speed vibration issue

    Hey there

So I recently got my 4 OEM wheels straightened, bought 4 new high perf tyres, balanced and aligned. As soon as I got out of the shop, it was amazing, smooth, no vibration, nothing.

But now, every first ride of the day on the highway, I have a vibration like a totally unbalanced wheel. Then, if I get out of the highway and do some city driving for a few min, then go back on the highway, no more vibration.

Never had such issue in 15 years of driving different cars, VW and Audis.

    What could cause this ?

    Thanks

What kind of tires? Do you have them properly inflated? It almost sounds like a flat spot but that is something that takes a while to develop.

On my C7, when an engine mount goes, I get a vibration that feels like an unbalanced wheel.

Yeah this sounds like an engine/transmission issue more than wheels. What transmission?

Well, it ended up being Costco and their shitty balancing skills.
Seems like I lost a weight and it made the big difference.

Rebalanced at a proper shop and all smooth now.

Ah yeah, Costco is great for some things but they will not road force balance either.

It was my first time using Costco for my tires/wheels. I was far from home and my only option was that.

    Learned from my mistake.
