    Kuat Piston Pro X

Evening everyone. I am asking if anyone has a Kuat Piston Pro X hitch rack and what the effect is once the 4 pin light connector is attached with respect to the back up camera's and alarms. My Piston Pro was ruined when someone hit the rack backing out of their parking spot. With the non-X version (no integrated lights) any time I was backing up the solid alarm would go off and stay on until I either 1) hit the button to turn it off (and then also the camera) or 2) drove forward a bit. The car also was more sensitive to other close objects when the rack was on.

On my Ram 3500, I could turn off the alarm and the camera would stay on.

So on the Audi what effect does it has to connect the rack.

(It also looks like I need to buy a 7 to 4-pin converter)

    Any info is appreciated

No idea as it pertains to the specific rack, however, when towing a U-Haul trailer (using the 7 to 4 pin adapter from Amazon), reverse is fine with no beeps are anything. I do turn on "trailer mode" although I think that's just for the air suspension.

Does the rear camera still come on?
