Value for Original Owner Avant

I’m trying to gauge value for my car. A recent sale on BAT (https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2001-audi-s4-123/) for a low mileage, 3 owner, Avant was $25k, can I presume that my car would be in the same ball park, or more? Hagerty’s shows Avant’s in excellent condition would bring $33,700. I’m not sure how accurate Hagerty is. I appreciate any thoughts provided.

I bought my car new in February of 2001.
I have a 2001 Audi S4 Avant that I have owned since new, 24 years. I purchased the car from Park Place Porsche Audi in Dallas over President's Day Weekend in 2001. I was in the Air Force, stationed at Little Rock Air Force Base. My family and I took a trip to Dallas over the 3 day weekend.
The car is Nogaro blue with n0garo blue interior accents an Alcantara material. She has a 6 speed manual transmission.
Because I was in the Air Force, she has lived in many locations over the last 24 years. First was a small town north of Little Rock. Then, we moved to Valdosta, Georgia. I went to Al Udeid in Qatar for a year and the car mostly sat in the garage until I returned. Our next stop was Ramstein, Germany!
While in Germany, I had a friend who owned a shop outside the back base gate in Mackenbach. He owned a RS4 and talked me into installing KO4 turbos in 2007, the mileage was around 57k. We were in Germany for about 1.5 years after installation. She has been to Germany, France, Belgium and Italy. She was, and is, a joy to drive!
After Germany, we moved to Ft Walton Beach Florida. I retired from the Air Force in 2011 and began work as a contractor in Georgia and Alabama. In 2015, I got a job offer as a contractor on Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas.
We have been in Las Vegas since.
Over the years, I have loved the car have really enjoyed driving her. The paint is original, no dings or dents. She still shines great and has a professionally applied System X coating.
The car runs outstanding and has many upgrades
KO4 turbos
larger fuel injectors
lightweight flywheel
Hotchkiss front and rear sway bars
Front 2 piece brake rotors
Grey Alcantara headliner
Newly installed KSW coilover suspension
Braided brake lines
Newly installed front control arms, timing belt, valve cover gaskets
I have all receipts from over the 24 years
I have original window sticker
All mechanics who see her say she is the cleanest S4 they have seen. I've done my best to ensure she has been well kept.
My kids grew up in the back seat. She has 165,000 well loved miles. I hate to sell her, but I just don't drive her much anymore. Las Vegas has crazy drivers and I could not bear to see her damaged.

maximizing BaT requires a really well presented vehicle, lots of exposure, along with a bit of luck that wealthy bidders will see it.

If it's a sell-it-as-it-sits situation and it's pretty clean, you might get lucky posting it for sale for $20k on the forums.

Otherwise, get it 'stripes in the carpet' clean, properly detailed, and fix/touch up any nagging little issues on it, and then 4k videos + professionally staged pictures + well documented ad and see what it pulls at auction. Nogaro w/ blue alcantara interior is basically #1 desirable.

A bit, to be honest if it was completely unmodified it would probably add more to the original owner/original car sort of appeal.

165,000miles isn't crazy but it also isn't collector level. I reckon your best bet is to put as much effort you can stand into presentation, then list it on proper channels (audizine/facebook/etc).

Tbh, the car on BAT and yours aren’t in the same realm…and there were things on that car that weren’t quite up to snuff, but it was a fair price. The mileage alone makes it a completely different conversation. Original owner helps a bit, but the miles outweigh it imho

For what it's worth, I sold my similarly spec'd '01 Nogaro/Nogaro 6MT Avant for $14,000. It was mostly stock and similar miles. That was in 2016-2017 though.

I think you're probably in the realm of $25,000'ish. If it's not BAT, consider Cars and Bids.
